Hi Jeff,

Great podcast! I'm comparing it to a philanthropic trends newsletter I just received. Their topic is also fundraising in tough times. They too emphasize increased attention to campaigns and use 9/11 as an example, but they miss what I think was your most important point: frankly acknowledging to donors that these are, in fact, difficult times.

The message has to be: "We care about you, our donors, not just your money."

Hi Jeff & Steven,

I just wanted to thank you for this inspiring podcast and encourage you to keep up the good work.

I've been tuning from New Zealand since you started up and it's great to fill my daily commute with your expert advice.

Thanks for reminding us that we really do work in a beautiful industry.

Jeff Brooks is creative director at TrueSense, the growing, innovative fundraising agency for organizations that care about donors. Steven Screen is founder of UberDirect, an advertising agency specializing in direct response marketing and fundraising. Between them, they have more than 35 years of experience helping excellent nonprofits raise money for their causes. That's a lot of years, but they aren't all that old, really.
